The Spring 2008 session begins Mon., Mar. 17, 2008. Rehearsals are every Monday at the Bundy Center for the Arts in Waitsfield from 6:45-9:15. Any changes to the schedule will be posted here.
The Concert: Glenn McClure's St. Francis in the Americas: A Caribbean Mass
This contemporary piece celebrates the marriage of Latin American cultures and the spiritual legacy of the medieval Italian saint, Francis of Assisi. The instrumentation features steel drums (invented in the islands of Trinidad and Tobago in the mid 20th century) and other percussion instruments from Latin American traditions.
